The course is aimed at providing a basic awareness of the legal requirements and safety issues surrounding the use of lifting equipment and lifting operations.

Objectives
At the end of the session participants will:
- Be aware of the current legislation that affects lifting operations and equipment.

- Be aware of the responsibilities placed on an employer and employees in relation to Lifting Operations and Equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to carry out a risk assessment and take appropriate actions with regard to lifting operations.
